Generate a complex, rich background for any character. Inspire characters you wouldn't normally think to play, come up with something fresh if you're in a rut, or just roll up some random characters for fun.

This setting-agnostic background generator for fantasy TTRPGs is 64 pages of nothing-but-tables. There are over 250 unique events for characters, with most of those referencing supporting tables so even rolling the same event twice won't be exactly the same.

Because the main events always reference supplementary tables, it's easy to adjust things to fit a particular setting. Event says you were attacked by a monster? You can either use the given table of over a hundred monsters, or you can use a random table from the game you're playing in. Need a deity for some event? You can reference your own setting, or you can roll a random portfolio in the deity portfolio generator. 

There's a d666 table of 216 trinkets to choose from, because random trinkets are fun. There's a d100 table of random cultural quirks. There are tables for different injuries, crimes, monsters, deities, aristocratic titles, and professions.
